It’s been another big year for BDAC and our Community across Dja Dja Wurrung Country. With so much to celebrate, I’m excited to share some of the highlights from the year (and you can find out more in our 2025 BDAC Annual Report).

In June, we proudly opened Bunjil Wellbeing Place, our new medical centre – a culturally safe, welcoming space and a long-term investment in Aboriginal health and self-determination. Community voice has continued to guide our work through Our Future, Our Way, with over 150 yarns with people shaping how we plan and deliver services.

We celebrated 25 boorais (children) graduating from djimbaya Kindergarten, strong in Culture, identity, and confidence; launched our Youth Advisory Committee, expanded youth programs and spaces, and supported more than 160 Community members through our Community Employment Team to access jobs, training, and education. Our health, medical, and wellbeing teams continued to deliver culturally safe, holistic care, with a strong focus on health education and promotion, supported by an expanded Chronic Disease Management team.

Across the year, we strengthened Community connection through events and gatherings, continued to deliver culturally safe health and wellbeing services, and proudly launched new branding and uniforms designed by Bayila Designs and artist Bitja (Dixon Patten), reflecting our story, Culture, and Community.

We hope you enjoy the read!
